Recycling event for used electronics planned Saturday, April 30, in South Charleston


Here is a chance to get rid of some of those used electronics that may have been piling up at your house.

A community shred and e-cycling event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at the South Charleston Memorial Ice Arena, according to a flier from organizers.

The following electronics will be accepted: AC adaptors, cell phones, docking stations, computer boards, computer towers, fans/electrical heaters, game consoles, hard drives, IT equipment, keyboards/mouse, laptops, microwaves, modems, phone systems, printers/copiers, radios, remote controls, servers, shredders, small appliances, speakers, UPS units and VCrs.

No TVs, computer monitors or batteries will be accepted.

The event is being sponsored by S&S Engineers, the South Charleston Chamber of Commerce and Mark E. Snapp & Associates Employee Benefits.
