SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): The Pleasants County Solid Waste Authority announced that the annual electronics recycling collection event will be held at the Momentive Performance Materials Plant, 10851 Energy Highway, in Friendly on 20th April, 2024 9 AM to 2 PM.
The event is being held in collaboration between Momentive Performance Materials, Pleasants County Solid Waste Authority, the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection and Scott Recycling of Knoxville, Tenn. This is the 16th year that Momentive is offering the event. As per estimates, the events so far has recycled more than 580,000 pounds of electronics.

It is funded by by the Covered Electronic Devices Grant Program, with additional funding, staffing and materials provided by Momentive.
The recycling collection event is open to all residents of nearby counties, non-profit groups and small businesses. Individuals or businesses with more than 20 items need to inform the Authority prior to the event.
The items not accepted include large household appliances, hazardous materials, household hazardous wastes, CDs, video/cassette tapes, light bulbs and previously stripped CRT monitors and televisions.
