SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): With effect from January 1, 2025, the Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) has announced changes to its executive leadership team. This covers both internal promotions and new hiring. The modifications are intended to hasten the development of a more sustainable plastics sector.
Chris Rager was named Vice President of Government Affairs, according to a press statement. Chris was the head of State Government Affairs for the American Petroleum Institute before joining the group. He has worked in government relations for more than 20 years. At every level of government, he will be instrumental in furthering PLASTICS' advocacy and policy initiatives.

Also, Angela Mealy joins PLASTICS as Executive Director of NPE: The Plastics Show. Angela will be in charge of NPE2027's strategy, operations, finances, project management, and general success.
Ashley Hood-Morley has been elevated to the position of Senior Vice President, Industry Engagement. Stephanie Strategos Polis and Patrick Krieger have been promoted to the positions of Vice President, Public Affairs and Senior Vice President, Sustainability and Policy, respectively. Additionally, Monica Mancilla Cooke and Apryl Alexander-Savino were elevated to the positions of Vice President, Human Resources and Vice President, Events and Marketing, respectively.
