New Recycling Drop-Off Center in Warren Aims to Reduce Waste

SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Clover Recycling is a full service recycling drop off center in Warren that is aiming to reduce landfill waste and promote a circular economy by giving discarded items a new life.

Whether its plastic and glass or electronic waste, every recyclable has a designated bin. Owner Jenny Smith says 100% of materials will be responsibly used.

The team of volunteers prepare and condense all goods into raw materials before sending it off to companies looking to buy materials to make new items.

Smith says if materials cannot be recreated, reused or repurposed inside of the facility, then the materials will be recycled by shipping to manufacturers who need the raw material.

"A lot of those bottles will either go back to making more bottles or they'll sell it to textile manufacturers and make it into thread," Smith said.

Smith says educating people on recycling is a top priority. She plans to have a space for reselling reusable items. recreating items or simply repurposing it.

Clover Recycling is open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is located at 1411 W. Market St. in Warren.
