New Industrial PET Recycling Plant Comes Up in Statesboro, Georgia


SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Leading chemical PET recycling company, revalyu Resources announces that it plans to invest USD 50 million in building a new industrial PET recycling facility in Statesboro, Georgia, USA. This is the company’s first U.S. facility, which in turn will expand the company’s worldwide footprint.

According to company press release, the groundbreaking of the facility is expected to take place in the initial half of the current year, with commissioning scheduled for 2024. The facility will employ approximately 70 people and will have daily processing capacity of up to 450,000 pounds of post-consumer plastic bottles, after planned facility expansion. In the initial phase, it will process around 225,000 pounds per day.

It must be noted that revalyu’s breakthrough chemical recycling technology has already recycled over 6 billion plastic bottles into recycled PET of highest purity, which in turn could be used in production of sustainable PET products. Moreover, it consumes 91% less energy and 67% less water when compared with conventional polyester processes.
