Kirtland City Council Approved WM’s Waste and Recycling Bid

SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Kirtland City Council announced that it has accepted a resolution authorizing the mayor to accept the bid of Ohio-based Waste Management and to enter into a five-year contract towards collection and recycling of solid waste. The resolution was accepted by a 6-0 vote with one absentee.

The Service Committee-a standing committee of the City Council had reviewed the bids and recommended the City to select Waste Management, it being the lowest and best bid. It must be noted that the current contract expires on 31st December, 2023. The contract with Waste Management was first executed in November 2013, which was later extended for two years in 2018.
