SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): The County of Hawaii Department of Environmental Management Solid Waste Division announced schedule for electronics recycling collection events in the month of January 2023.

The first of the two events is scheduled to be held at Mr. K’s Recycle & Redemption Center - Electronics Recycling, 815 Kino‘ole Street, Hilo on January 14, 2023 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. The second event will be held on January 21, 2023 8:30 am – 4:30 pm in the Kona Crossroads Shopping Center parking lot at 75-1027 Henry St. in Kailua-Kona.

The above free events will be open to households, businesses, government agencies and nonprofit organizations. However, businesses, government agencies and nonprofit organizations are required to schedule an appointment for drop-off and provide a detailed list of electronic items they wish to recycle. Also, there will be a limit of one pallet load per business or agency customer.

The accepted electronic items include TVs, computers, laptops, monitors, printers/fax machines/multi-function printers, VCRs, CD/DVD players, stereo receivers/amplifiers (no speakers), UPS systems, digital cameras, mobile and landline telephones only. No other items will be accepted.
