SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): The Town of Harrietstown will organize a free electronic waste recycling event on Saturday, July 11. The event will give residents an easy way to dispose of unwanted electronics in an environmentally responsible manner.
The collection drive will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Town Garage on John Munn Road. Local officials said the initiative is aimed at encouraging proper recycling of electronic devices.

The event is open to everyone, and participation is not limited to Harrietstown residents. Individuals can bring a wide range of electronic items, including computers, laptops, televisions, monitors, printers, scanners, gaming consoles, cameras, telephones, tablets, stereo equipment, modems, networking devices, cables and other computer accessories. All accepted items will be recycled at no cost.
However, organizers noted that certain materials cannot be accepted. These include batteries, light bulbs, lamps, household appliances, smoke detectors, air conditioners containing refrigerants and hazardous waste.
The program is being conducted in partnership with EWASTE+, a New York-based electronics recycling company that operates processing facilities across the state.
The officials encourage residents to take advantage of the opportunity to recycle unused electronics responsibly and help prevent them from ending up in landfills.
