SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): GFL Environmental Services has announced the acquisition of Plummer’s Environmental Services, a family-owned environmental solutions provider based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The deal was facilitated by Charter Capital, which acted as Plummer’s advisor.
Plummer’s Environmental Services delivers a full range of industrial and municipal environmental solutions across Michigan. Its operations include a fleet of approximately 100 vehicles and a fully permitted treatment facility capable of processing both solid and liquid industrial waste.

Commenting on the acquisition, Todd Plummer, President of Plummer’s Environmental Services, said the partnership marks “an exciting new chapter” for the company, its employees, and customers. He added that joining GFL will enhance the company’s ability to grow and continue delivering exceptional service.
The acquisition significantly strengthens GFL’s industrial and environmental services platform, expanding its regional reach and operational capacity. Notably, GFL first entered the U.S. market through Michigan in 2016 with the acquisition of Rizzo Environmental Services, underscoring its continued growth strategy in the region.
