Every Can Counts U.S. Launches Aluminum Can Recycling Pilot at East Potomac Golf Links

SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Every Can Counts U.S. has rolled out a new aluminum beverage can recycling pilot program at East Potomac Golf Links in Washington, D.C., in collaboration with National Links Trust. The year-long initiative aims to make recycling more accessible and engaging for golfers and visitors.

The program officially launched on October 15, 2025, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by representatives from Every Can Counts U.S., National Links Trust, DC Councilmember Charles Allen, and Potomac Metals, Inc.

Under the pilot, two DC-themed recycling cages—each capable of holding around 1,500 used beverage cans—along with recycling bins and educational signage have been installed across the golf course. The setup is designed to encourage on-site recycling while raising awareness about aluminum’s environmental and economic value.

All collected cans will be sent to Potomac Metals, Inc., the project’s recycling partner, where they will be sold for their scrap aluminum value. The proceeds will be returned to East Potomac Golf Links to support future sustainability initiatives and community events.

Every Can Counts U.S. said it intends to expand the recycling activation program to additional golf courses nationwide in 2026, as part of its broader mission to promote aluminum recycling and environmental responsibility.
