SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): ecomaine, a recycling and trash management organization with its headquarters in Maine, announced that it is already taking nominations for its 2025 Eco-Excellence Awards. The awards honor people, companies, and groups from ecomaine communities for their outstanding dedication to environmental management and sustainability.
According to ecomaine, submissions are welcome from local businesses, nonprofit organizations, governments, schools, and individuals. It stated that submissions will be accepted till April 5, 2025. The date of the annual gathering, where the award recipients will be honored, will be revealed later.

According to ecomaine Board Member Caleb Hemphill, the company is motivated by the innovative and committed environmental initiatives that take place in its communities each year. Hemphill went on to say that the awards are a means of honoring and recognizing the people and institutions that are truly having an impact.
Sydney Harris and Suz Okie of Reuse Maine, Common Threads of Maine, Piper Shores Sustainability Collaborative, and Peaks Renewables are the 2024 Eco-Excellence Award winners.
