SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): The Indianapolis Colts, in partnership with Republic Services, will host a free electronic waste recycling event at Lucas Oil Stadium on May 16, offering residents and businesses a convenient way to safely dispose of unwanted electronics.
The event will run from 8 a.m. to noon at the stadium’s South Parking Lot, with participants instructed to enter via Capitol Avenue. Staff will assist with unloading items at no cost. The first 400 vehicles will receive a clear stadium bag and cup, along with opportunities to win raffle prizes. Attendees can also meet the Colts mascot Blue and team cheerleaders.
Accepted items include a wide range of electronics such as TVs, computers, mobile devices, cables, batteries, appliances, and IT equipment. Organizers encourage residents to bring any device that plugs in or powers on.
The initiative is supported by Tech Recyclers, a certified, veteran-owned company that ensures 100% landfill-free processing and secure data destruction. However, hazardous materials, furniture, tires, and clothing will not be accepted.
The event aims to promote responsible recycling while engaging the local community.
