The event will be held on April 11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Ferdinand Park. Organizers will install directional signage across the park to ensure smooth traffic flow and efficient drop-off operations. A broad range of items will be accepted, including computers, laptops, tablets, cell phones, kitchen appliances, washers and dryers, LCD monitors, networking equipment, and lawn and garden tools, provided all fluids such as oil and gas are removed in advance.
However, certain “negative value” items—including CRT televisions, flat-screen TVs, printers, and Freon-containing appliances—will be subject to recycling fees, with quantity limits per participant.
Items such as batteries, hazardous materials, light bulbs, furniture, and media discs will not be accepted. The event underscores the city’s commitment to reducing e-waste, minimizing landfill impact, and encouraging responsible recycling practices within the community.
