City of Hoboken Announced Finalized Zero Waste Plan

SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): The City of Hoboken, New Jersey reached a major milestone by announcing its finalized Zero Waste Plan. It marks a significant step forward in the City’s ongoing journey to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and combat climate change.

The plan, designed and developed by City consultant Eunomia, aims to boost diversion rates, reduce GHG emissions and thus contribute significantly to cost-savings efforts undertaken by the city. An analysis carried out by Eunomia had revealed that the city’s waste stream still contained approximately 21,936 tons of recyclable materials.
