SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): The City of Erie will host its annual tire and electronics recycling event this Saturday, May 2, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the City of Erie Municipal Garage Complex, 1926 Holland St.

To help residents responsibly dispose of hard-to-recycle materials and reduce landfill waste, the event is free and open to City of Erie residents only (photo ID required) and will be held as a drive-through.

Accepted Materials: 

• Tires: Up to six per vehicle (passenger and light truck tires only; no rims) 

• Electronics: TVs, computers, monitors, printers, keyboards, mice, speakers, e-readers, and microwaves

Not Accepted: 

• Construction debris 

• Hazardous materials
