Circular Services Added More Recycling Facilities Through Midwest Fiber Acquisition


SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Circular Services- the company which operates the material management assets of Closed Loop Partners has announced acquisition of Midwest Fiber Recycling. The acquisition is part of Closed Loop’s recent efforts to make direct investment in recycling infrastructure. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquired recycling assets include those located in Decatur, Normal, Urbana and Peoria, Illinois, as well as one in Terre Haute, Indiana. With the addition of these five recycling facilities, Balcones Recycling, the recycling wing of Circular Services, will now operate 18 recycling facilities across the U.S.

The family-owned Midwest Fiber Recycling has been in operations for over three decades, serving surrounding communities. Founded in 1990, the company has grown through multiple acquisitions. The portfolio of facilities has witnessed tremendous growth over the years, thus making it a leading provider of effective recycling solutions to municipalities, counties as well as small-to-large businesses.

The acquisition will help Circular Solutions to advance a circular economy in more communities and companies.
