SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Cirba Solutions has announced a free public battery recycling collection event at its Wixom, Michigan facility on Thursday, November 13, 2025, in celebration of America Recycles Day. The initiative underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to promoting safe and responsible recycling of end-of-life batteries and raising public awareness about battery sustainability.
Residents can drop off their used batteries for free recycling between 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. at 4930 Holtz Drive, Wixom, MI 48393. The event is open to individuals and households seeking to properly dispose of a wide range of battery types.

Accepted materials include Alkaline, Zinc Carbon, Nickel Cadmium (NiCd), Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH), Lithium-ion, Mercury-containing devices, Lithium Primary, Silver Oxide, and non-spillable Lead Acid batteries, as well as small electronics. Damaged or defective batteries will also be accepted, provided that battery terminals are secured with clear tape before drop-off. Each vehicle may recycle up to 200 pounds of batteries during the event.
According to Cirba Solutions, public awareness about battery recycling remains low—40% of consumers are unaware that lithium batteries are recyclable, and 60% do not know where to recycle them. Through events like this, the company aims to educate the community and help reduce the environmental impact of improperly discarded batteries.
This event provides a convenient, safe, and eco-friendly opportunity for Wixom residents to take part in responsible battery recycling while supporting broader sustainability efforts.
