Cards Recycling Acquired Texas-Based AWT Sanitations


SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Fayetteville, Arkansas-based Cards Recycling announced acquisition of Texas-headquartered AWT Sanitations. This is the fifth Texas company to be acquired by Cards during the past 18 months. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition will expand Card’s geographic service area into East Texas region. This will make the company one of the leading independent waste companies in the entire Dallas area. Also, it reaffirms the company’s position as the leading independent waste and recycling provider in East Texas. It will add nearly 6,000 subscription customers and 12 trucks to the company’s fleet.

Cards Recycling has acquired several companies including Barnes Waste Disposal, Homeland Waste Management, County Recycling Services, Ozark Waste Solutions, J&J Refuse LLC, Johns Refuse LLC, Whittinghill Disposal Services, and Raintree Disposal. The most recent acquisition by the company was that of Trash Hog LLC.

Dan Christensen, CEO, Cards Recycling said that the company had its sights on AWT for a long time. The company aims to continue providing the same exceptional quality of service to AWT customers and further expand its services, especially in the east Texas area, he added.
