Braven Environmental to Open New Texas Chemical Recycling Facility

SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): In Texarkana, Texas, Braven Environmental announced intentions to construct a new chemical recycling factory. The project is a component of a state tax incentive scheme.

The proposed chemical recycling factory would be constructed in the state of Texas under the Texas Jobs, Energy, Technology, and Innovation program, according to the statement made by Governor Greg Abbott. In exchange for investments and the development of jobs in the area, the initiative pledges to provide tax incentives for projects. It is anticipated that Braven's property taxes will be lowered by at least 50% during the next ten years.

According to the business, the plant will process difficult-to-recycle plastics using the pyrolysis method to create a proprietary product called PyChem, which will be sold as an alternative fuel and as a raw material for the production of new plastic products. It further stated that the facility is anticipated to generate over $145 million in investment.

At the moment, Braven runs a pyrolysis plant in Zebulon, North Carolina. The business and Chevron Phillips Chemical had signed a pyrolysis oil offtake agreement earlier in October of last year.

Texas is a great place to establish chemical recycling facilities because of the state's corporate incentives and its close proximity to petrochemical facilities.
