Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

1. Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
2. Maintain and repair all equipment including but not limited to shredder, eddy current, baler, etc.
3. Change liners, grates, hammers, etc. on the shredder.
4. Assist other maintenance and production personnel during scheduled repair projects and normal production.
5. Operate mobile equipment as needed.
6. Work in outdoor and indoor environments.
7. Minor cleanup and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 2 years previous maintenance experience preferred.
2. Welding and fabrication experience.
3. Ability to work 4pm - 12am Monday - Friday **some Saturdays as needed
4. Flexible to work off hours and overtime.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Welding experience preferred.
