RecyclingMonster - Due to the Patriots’ Day holiday on Monday, April 20, there will be no residential trash and recycling collection in New Bedford. Residential trash and recycling collection will be delayed by one day. All downtown trash, commercial trash, and cardboard routes will run on schedule.
Since bulky item pickup and yard waste/brush collection have been suspended by ABC Disposal through May 4, the New Bedford Solid Waste Transfer Station at 1103 Shawmut Ave. is open for extended hours, from noon to 5 p.m. every weekday, and regular hours on Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. to accept bulky items, yard waste, and brush, through May 4.
