COVINGTON, Ky. – The Memorial Day holiday will affect trash and recycling service in Covington on Monday in two ways:

Curbside pickup Monday will start an hour earlier than usual. Residents and business owners who use carts are encouraged to set them out the night before, starting at 6 p.m.

The Covington Transfer Station run by Rumpke Waste & Recycling at the western end of Boron Drive will close early. The station, which accepts bulk items and waste for a fee, will be open Monday from 8 a.m. until noon. It will resume its normal weekday hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
