The Rotary Club of Bradford to hold electronics recycling event


The Rotary Club of Bradford is hosting an Electronics Recycling Event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church Parking Lot in Bradford.

“This is an opportunity for businesses and individuals throughout the area to dispose of old, outdated electronic equipment in an environmentally-friendly manner,” said Tina Martin, Rotary Club President.

Entrance to the drive-thru event will be on East Corydon Street and vehicles will exit onto Congress Street. The suggested donation per item is $5 and all proceeds raised will fund community service projects and groups.

The club has teamed up with KVS Computers, an R2 (Responsible Recycling) Certified recycler to sponsor this event.

Items accepted include: computers, laptops, hard drives, printers, servers, copiers, answering machines, phone systems, cameras, audio and image recorders, cell phones, tablets, keyboards, mice, CD & DVD players, radios, stereos, amplifiers, networking gear, computer cables and routers.

Items not accepted include televisions, appliances, vacuum cleaners, lamps, dehumidifiers, and propane tanks.

The Rotary Club of Bradford supports local projects and organizations. The club also conducts an annual coat drive through Operation Warm which benefits students in the Bradford Area School District; a pancake breakfast, and Route 219 clean up.
