According to Jacob Duer, President and CEO of AEPW, the Alliance and its partners have reduced up to 239,985.48 tonnes of unmanaged plastic trash since its founding in 2019. He noted that the Alliance's Strategy 2030 is founded on the knowledge it has gathered from working on initiatives in rising economies over the previous few years.
In its attempts to promote women-owned enterprises and improve working conditions for unorganized trash workers, the Alliance has played a crucial role. More than 2,000 formal jobs have been created as a result of the different Alliance projects.
The Alliance is eager to change how it works by collaborating with governments, development finance organizations, and civil society groups.
