TerraCycle has partnered with Giant Food, Martin’s, Giant Food Stores and Stop & Shop to implement the program. The shoppers can send in Gold Bond, Cortizone 10 and Selsun Blue product packaging to it for recycling. The items, thus collected by TerraCycle, will be recycled in a sustainable manner. The packaging will be cleaned and melted into hard plastic, which in turn can be remolded to make new recycled products such as garden beds and benches to the benefit of local communities.

The customers who wish to recycle empty product packaging are required to visit the respective retailer website and request for a free shipping label. The program will be open for any individual, school, office or community organization.

Tom Szaky, CEO and Founder, TerraCycle said that it is proud to partner with forward-thinking companies to offer recycling solutions for a wide range of products. The collaboration between multiple retailers and brands demonstrates the sustainability efforts made by various industries
