A foam-recycling event postponed due to inclement weather earlier this month in Sturgis has been rescheduled for Saturday.
The collection will take place 9 a.m. to noon at the Sturgis Department of Public Services property, 805 N. Centerville Road.
Polysterene items accepted include post-consumer foam cups and “to-go” containers, egg cartons, ice chests, cleaned meat trays and other foam with the No. 6 recycling symbol.
Volunteers are being sought to assist with the collection. Anyone willing to lend a hand 9 to 10:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. to noon should call Julie Burkey at 659-7223.
