Somerset County Stops Recycling Pickups Amid Coronavirus Spread


RecyclingMonster - There will no longer be curbside recycling pick up in Somerset County effective immediately until further notice to help prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, Somerset County officials said.

Somerset County Recycling Center will also e closed to the public beginning Wednesday.

Along with stopping recycling, Somerset County will also close all county facilities, with the exception of Richard Hall Community Mental Health Center, to the public.

All scheduled programs will be canceled through April 10, including the 5K Race to Wellness, Pysanky Egg Painting and other activities.

All public shuttles from the Somerset County Division of Transportation, including DASH, SCOOT and CAT, will be operating on a modified/holiday schedule.

All six county-operated senior centers are also closed. Meals on Wheels will continue to be delivered.
