REGISTER NOW! Household Hazardous Waste Recycling Event Set For June 5 in Aurora

Kane County Recycling Coordinator Jennifer Jarland is encouraging residents to register now to take part in a special household hazardous waste recycling event set for 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 5, at 306 N. River St. in Aurora.

At this event — made possible through a partnership of the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, Kane County, DuPage County and the city of Aurora — you can dispose of your household cleaners, fertilizers, pesticides, auto fluids, oil-based paints and stains and much more.

The event is free and open to residents of Illinois.

“We are able to serve up to 1,300 cars on the day of the event, so registration is required,” Jarland said.
