The Holmes County Solid Waste District is sponsoring a special recycling day this weekend. The event, which is part of the district’s ongoing effort to encourage responsible recycling, will take place Saturday, from 8am-noon, at the Harvest Ridge parking lot, just west of Millersburg. Organizers say that some normally prohibited items, such as light truck and car tires, will be accepted for a small fee, while all other accepted items can be dropped off, free of charge.
