SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Reconomy, through its subsidiary Lincoln Waste Solutions by Reconomy, has announced the acquisition of National Waste Associates (NWA), a Glastonbury, Connecticut–based provider of outsourced managed waste services. The move marks a significant step in Reconomy’s ongoing strategy to strengthen its footprint in the United States — the world’s largest waste management market.
NWA serves major clients across diverse sectors including retail, industrial services, healthcare, and hospitality, offering comprehensive waste and recycling solutions.

The acquisition positions Lincoln Waste Solutions among the top five waste and recycling management operators in the U.S., enhancing its nationwide network, customer base, and operational capabilities.
Reconomy’s CEO Guy Wakeley said the deal represents an important milestone in the company’s U.S. growth strategy. “This acquisition is a great addition to our rapidly growing U.S. operations and leaves us perfectly positioned to execute on our strategic priorities,” he commented.
Carmine Esposito, CEO of NWA, described the partnership as a natural evolution for the company. “Joining Lincoln Waste Solutions by Reconomy was the logical next step for our business, and we’re excited about the opportunities ahead,” he noted.
According to industry estimates, the U.S. generates nearly ten times more waste than the U.K., underscoring the immense growth potential Reconomy sees in expanding its North American operations.
