Nexus W2V Received Commitment from Orion Infrastructure Capital to Build Indiana RNG Facility

SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Orion Infrastructure Capital invested $75 million in Texas-based Nexus W2V to construct its flagship renewable natural gas (RNG) facility in La Porte, Indiana. Now, the corporation will proceed with building the flagship facility.

By the end of 2026, the Kingsbury Bioenergy Complex is expected to be operational, capable of converting 200 tons of organic waste per day into renewable natural gas and other byproducts like compost, biochar, and organic fertilizer. This will be Nexus's first facility constructed entirely from the ground up.

Food scraps, food byproducts, agricultural biomass, fats, oils, and other nonhazardous food waste will all be accepted at the RNG factory. An agreement to inject the RNG into the current pipeline infrastructure in northern Indiana has already been secured, increasing the amount of renewable energy produced domestically in the area. In addition to providing a long-term answer to the organic waste disposal demands of western Indiana and the broader Chicago area, the facility complex will bring about 35 local jobs to La Porte.

In addition to loan finance from Ameris Bank, Nexus has obtained further investment from Nexus Holdings and Khasma Capital.
