The Muscatine Department of Public Works is notifying residents that the recycling drop-off area at the Muscatine Transfer Station will be closed on Friday and Saturday, April 17–18, to accommodate a crane that will be positioned in the parking area for scheduled roof work on the Transfer Station. This work is weather-dependent, a news release says.

During this time, no access to the recycling drop-off area will be available. The drop-off area is tentatively expected to reopen at 7:30 a.m. Monday, April 20.

“The City of Muscatine and the Department of Public Works appreciate the community’s patience and understanding during this temporary closure,” the release says.
