Montville to Host Free Shredding, E-Waste Recycling and Drug Drop-Off Event on April 11

SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Montville Township, New Jersey, will host a free community recycling event on Saturday, April 11, offering paper shredding, electronics recycling, and prescription drug disposal services. The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Municipal Building parking lot, located at 195 Changebridge Road, and will proceed rain or shine. It is open to all township residents and businesses, with proof of eligibility required.

The initiative aims to promote responsible waste disposal and environmental sustainability while providing a safe way to discard sensitive documents, outdated electronics, and unused medications. The Morris County Sheriff’s Office will be on-site to facilitate secure prescription drug drop-off, accepting items such as pills, capsules, patches, vitamins, and pet medications. However, sharps, liquids, and aerosol cans will not be accepted.

To ensure smooth operations, paper shredding is limited to a maximum of 10 boxes per vehicle. Residents may bring documents like financial records and receipts, though binders and plastics are excluded.

The electronics recycling program will accept a wide range of items, including computers, televisions, mobile devices, and related equipment, while prohibiting hazardous or non-recyclable materials.
