All of LRS's assets in Wisconsin are up for sale, including a C&D MRF in Dane County, Madison; a single-stream sorting plant in DeForest; and collection and transfer assets in the central and southern parts of the state. As part of the deal, the company also sold its small hauling business and a C&D transfer station in Bloomington, Illinois, said Matt Spencer, CEO, LRS.
GFL declined to provide more information about the deal, despite having previously stated plans to increase M&A activities in 2025. The deal will assist GFL in strengthening its presence in Wisconsin.
LRS has a sizable following in the Chicago region. In addition, the business has operations in Michigan, Minnesota, Kansas, Iowa, and Arkansas. In keeping with its previously mentioned long-term growth strategy, the business has also been investigating new markets.
