LJP Waste Solutions Announced Appointment of New CEO


SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Minnesota-based LJP Waste Solutions announced appointment of Michael Malatesta as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He replaces Steve Metz, who had recently retired from the post.

Prior to joining the company, Malatesta has been serving as the CEO of Full Cycle Enterprises. He has more than three decades of experience in the environmental services sector, holding leadership positions in various companies.

He founded Advanced Waste Services, which expanded itself to six locations, before being sold to Covanta in 2015. He led the growth of ERC Midwest into a leading industrial waste company through key acquisitions, prior to selling it to VLS Environmental Solutions in 2021.

Jon Biotti, managing partner of Nonantum Capital Partners who owns LJP, noted that they are xcited to welcome Mike to the LJP team and believe that his experience growing differentiated businesses in the environmental services industry will be an asset to LJP during its next phase of growth.

Meantime, Malatesta in a statement said that he is looking forward to joining the LJP team to advance its strategic initiatives.

Founded in 1993, LJP Waste Solutions offers waste and recycling services, mainly to commercial clients. It operates transfer facilities and provides services to some residential customers as well.
