Did you know: Household electronics contain metals and other components that can leach out into the environment and can contaminate soil, air and water?
That is why Jefferson County host multiple collections throughout the year. It provides a way for Jefferson County residents to properly dispose of these devices.
Lyn DiClemente, Jefferson County Stormwater Program Manager, told me that e-recycling on your own can cost you, so they make sure that these events are FREE. Also, she said that this collection’s vendor will 100% recycle or reuse all devices.
If you cannot make the collection this Saturday, don’t stress! Catch the next e-recycling event this fall on October 9th, 2021.
