Interstate Waste Services Expands New Jersey Operations with Acquisition of Grand Sanitation Service

SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Interstate Waste Services, Inc. (IWS) has announced the acquisition of Grand Sanitation Service Inc., a prominent independent waste hauler with a strong presence across North and Central New Jersey. Grand Sanitation has long been recognized for its comprehensive hauling solutions — including residential, commercial, roll-off, and cleanup services — catering to a wide range of municipal and private clients.

Following the acquisition, IWS will fully integrate Grand Sanitation’s operations, encompassing all residential, commercial, municipal, and roll-off collection services. The move will also see Grand’s experienced workforce and fleet of over 50 vehicles joining the IWS network, significantly enhancing its operational capacity and ability to serve customers with greater efficiency.

“This acquisition represents another important step in our mission to deliver dependable, first-class waste and recycling services across the tristate region,” IWS said in a statement. The addition of Grand Sanitation aligns with the company’s ongoing strategy of expanding its footprint through targeted acquisitions and operational integration.

The acquisition of Grand Sanitation follows a string of recent strategic moves by IWS to strengthen its market presence across the region. Past acquisitions include Seaside Waste Services in Central and Southern New Jersey, Pinto Service, Inc. in Northern New Jersey, Oak Ridge Waste & Recycling in Southwestern Connecticut and Suburban New York, and Marangi Disposal in New York’s Orange and Rockland Counties.

With this latest addition, Interstate Waste Services continues to solidify its position as one of the leading privately held waste and recycling companies in the Northeast, underscoring its commitment to operational excellence and community-focused service delivery.
