SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): HyProMag USA is accelerating efforts to strengthen domestic rare earth supply chains by developing a hub-and-spoke recycling model powered by patented, robot-assisted magnet separation technology. The company recently commissioned its first preprocessing system at an electronics recycling facility operated by Intelligent Lifecycle Solutions in South Carolina.

The system will generate prepared feedstock for HyProMag USA’s planned recycling and manufacturing hub in the Dallas–Fort Worth region, expected to begin operations in 2027. Additional facilities are planned across the U.S., including Nevada and South Carolina, forming a nationwide network.
The company’s technology identifies and extracts magnets from electronic scrap before shredding, improving recovery efficiency and output quality. Using sensors and robotic arms, magnets are removed intact and processed into rare earth powder suitable for manufacturing new magnets.
HyProMag USA targets feedstock from devices such as hard drives, electric motors, MRI machines, and wind turbines. Each facility is expected to process up to 1,500 tons annually.
Backed by global deployments in the UK and Germany, the company aims to establish up to 10 U.S. sites with a combined capacity of 15,000 tons per year.
