Free paper-shredding event set May 6

The Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Wilmington Savings Fund Society to host a shredding event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, May 6, at WSFS Bank, 19335 Coastal Highway, Rehoboth Beach.

Community members are invited to bring their used paper for on-site shredding. This recycling event will take place rain or shine.

Attendees will be able to reduce their carbon footprint with free shredding fun.

There is no charge, but donations are welcome and will benefit the chamber’s event fund. Any paper-based printed material and X-rays are welcome. Materials must be removed from three-ring binders and bags prior to shredding. Staples, rubber bands, folders, paper clips and the like do not need to be removed before shredding occurs.
