Has your old mattress seen better days? The Sonoma Community Center will help recycle it at no charge. On Saturday, April 10, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., SCC will be accepting clean, dry, used mattresses of any size to be recycled as part of the county’s Zero Waste program. Box springs and futons will be accepted as well, with a limit of three units per vehicle allowed.
In addition to recycling unwanted used mattresses, electronic waste will also be accepted between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., April 10 ? 12, in collaboration with Conservation Corp North Bay’s electronics collection program. Both recycling drives will be held in the parking lot behind the center at 276 E. Napa St. For more information, and to learn where and how to discard everything from unused pharmaceuticals to old lightbulbs, go to zerowastesonoma.gov.
