Forsyth County residents have six places to drop off their live Christmas trees for recycling in and around Cumming as part of the "Bring One for the Chipper" annual tree collection.

Trees will be accepted through Saturday, Jan. 5, at the Home Depot stores at 1000 Market Place Boulevard and 2635 Peachtree Parkway, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Vickery Creek Elementary School, 6280 Post Road. No trees will be taken at these locations after 4 p.m., Jan. 5.

Trees also are being accepted from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Saturday through Wednesday, Jan. 30, at the following recycling centers: Tolbert Street, 351 Tolbert St.; Old Atlanta, 3678 Old Atlanta Rd.; and Coal Mountain, 3560 Settingdown Road.

The recycling centers will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 1, and Monday, Jan. 21. Wood chips will be available for county residents at Coal Mountain Park, 3560 Settingdown. Residents are responsible for loading and hauling their chips. To have a large load delivered: KeepGeorgiaBeautiful.org
