A free electronics recycling event is scheduled for June 11 in the parking lot across from City Hall in Jefferson City.
From 9 a.m.-1 p.m., computer towers, printers, keyboards, laptops, speakers, cellphones, radios, scanners, VCRs, DVD players, fax machines, answering machines, water heaters, stoves, microwaves, power tools and restaurant equipment will be accepted for free. Anything else with a cord or a battery will be accepted for free.
Items that will be accepted for a fee include big screen/projection TVs for $30 and LED or Plasma TVs for $20.
Among the items not being accepted are smoke detectors, CDs, DVDs and software.
Cash or card payments will be accepted.
