Electronic recycling dates announced


The City of Lincoln is hosting an event of electronic recycling from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., during the week of Sept. 13 – 17 at the Lincoln Municipal Services Building, 313 Limit St., in Lincoln.

The event is open to Logan County residents only and will be for residential users with no commercial businesses being accepted.

Items that will be accepted include: Computers and Small-Scale Servers, Computer Monitors, Televisions with a limit of four TVs per day, Printers, Fax machines & Scanners, DVD Players, DVD Recorders and VCRs, Video Game Consoles, Digital Convertor Boxes, Cable Receivers and Satellite Receivers, Electronic Keyboards, Electronic Mice and Portable Digital Music Players.

No broken items of any kind will be accepted. Broken items are equipment in pieces.

For those individuals wanting to participate in the event are asked to enter and exit on Limit St., enter into Door 4 on the east side of the Lincoln Municipal Services Building(signs will be posted).

An attendant will be on site to check ID’s and addresses and individuals must unload the electronics themselves. For those with questions are asked to call the Lincoln Street Department at 217-732-4655 or the Building & Safety Office at 217-732-6318 .
