North Syracuse, NY — Earth Day is April 22nd. It's been around since 1970 and is a day to educate and activate the environmental movement worldwide, according to Earth Day's official website.

To honor the movement, local electronic recycler, Sunnking is holding an electronic recycling event Saturday.

So far, nearly 2,000 guests have registered for the free event. This is Sunnking's first collection event of the year.

The event will be held at Cicero-North Syracuse High School on Saturday, April 17th from 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

The event is no-contact device removal.

The first 1,000 attendees will get free Honey Bee Mix seed packets.

The company is looking for materials such as computers, cables, printers, scanners, etc. You can find what is acceptable for recycling here.
