Community recycling event to be held in Marlborough next month

MARLBOROUGH – The Marlborough Rotary Club and the Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce (MRCC) want your recycling.

Both organizations have partnered to host their 10th annual community recycling event, accepting electronics of all types, including electrical equipment, metals, large appliances and yard and lawn equipment.

The event is open to most New England communities. Those in Connecticut are excluded.

Participants are required to pay $40 per car or pickup truckload, with additional single-item fees applied to certain items.

For example, TVs of any size are $40 each to recycle, while appliances containing freon range from $15 to $25 each, depending on their size.

Marlborough Rotary and MRCC are not accepting wood, bulk paper, light bulbs, mattresses, textiles, glass or a number of additional items.

See more information and a full list of unaccepted items at https://marlboroughchamber.org/event/recycling-2022/2022-04-02/

The event will take place on Saturday, April 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with an additional date of Saturday, June 18 as a second collection.
