City of Charlotte Announced Holiday Collection Schedule


SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): The City of Charlotte Solid Waste Services announced holiday collection schedule.

According to the news release, garbage, recycling, yard waste and scheduled bulky waste will not be collected on Thursday, November 23rd, in observance of Thanksgiving Day. The operations will witness one-day delay following the holiday. Accordingly, Thursday customers will receive collection service on Friday, Nov. 24 and Friday customers will receive service on Saturday, November 25th.

Also, Solid Waste Services will not collect garbage, recycling, yard waste and scheduled bulky waste on Monday, Dec. 25. The collection services from Monday, Dec. 25, through Friday, Dec. 29, will operate on a one-day delay. The Friday customers will receive service on Saturday, Dec. 30, the news release said.

Solid Waste Services will collect garbage, recycling, yard waste and scheduled bulky waste as per regular schedule from 1st to 5th January, 2024. It will be an orange recycling collection week.

Christmas tree collection will begin on Jan 1. Trees need to be placed at the curb for yard waste collection. Also, they must be free of lights, decorations, tinsel, etc. Artificial trees must be included along with bulky item collection.
