City of Apopka resumes trash and recycling collection service schedules


The City of Apopka released the following statement about its residential trash and recycling collection schedule:

Post-Hurricane Ian Update for Sanitation Schedule

Sanitation Schedule:

Normal residential curbside trash and recycling collection in the City of Apopka has resumed as of today, Monday, October 3, 2022.

Residential yard waste will be bags and cans only, with no tree storm debris piles. Residential bulky is furniture and large household items, no tree storm debris piles. Collection delays are expected over the next few weeks.

Debris Site Open:

We have opened up a debris site drop-off location for anyone looking to dispose of their vegetation debris. The site is located at the Northwest Recreation Complex. Please access this site via Appy Lane. The hours of operation are 7 AM to 7 PM. This site will remain open until further notice.

Please Note: Only vegetation debris will be accepted at this location. No construction debris (fences, lumber, etc.) or trash will be accepted.
