City cardboard recycling site opens for residential use

The City of Fremont Cardboard Recycling Site will be opening for residential use on Saturdays starting Nov. 27.

The site is located on South Broad Street, just before the Platte River Bridge. It will be open from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday until further notice and will accept clean cardboard only. It is for residential recycling only as commercial recycling will not be accepted.

 

Below are the rules of the Cardboard Recycling Site:

1. Individuals will be required to unload their own vehicles.

2. Commercial companies are prohibited.

3. City of Fremont staff will direct where to recycle clean cardboard.

4. Contaminated cardboard will not be accepted. These items must be taken to the transfer station.

5. The City of Fremont reserves the right of refusal to any individual that does not meet the above criteria.

6. Rules are subject to revision as needed.
