MONTREAL (RecyclingMonster): Covington residents will have an opportunity to responsibly recycle electronic waste, shred confidential documents, and drop off other hard-to-recycle materials during the City’s annual E-Waste, Foam Recycling, and Paper Shred Event on June 20.
Free Community Collection Planned at Holmes High School
The free event is being organized by the City of Covington in partnership with the Center for Great Neighborhoods through its Keep Covington Beautiful program. It will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Holmes High School, and no registration is required.
Electronics, Foam, Paper and More Will Be Accepted
Residents, small businesses, schools, churches, and nonprofit organizations may drop off a wide range of items. Accepted materials include computers, televisions, cell phones, printers, gaming systems, confidential paper documents, expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam, batteries, and light bulbs.
Certified Recycling and Secure Shredding Services Available
Electronics collected during the event will be processed by R2 RIOS-certified recycler Cohen Recycling. Meanwhile, Shred-it will provide secure on-site document shredding, offering participants a safe way to dispose of sensitive personal and business records.
