Plumas County Residents Can Recycle Tires Free in Quincy and Chester


MONTREAL (RecyclingMonster): Plumas County residents will have an opportunity to recycle unwanted tires at no cost during two community tire collection events scheduled to take place simultaneously on Saturday, October 17.

Passenger and Light-Truck Tires Only

Only passenger vehicle and light-truck tires will be accepted during the collection events. Tires from heavy equipment, trailers and semi-trucks are excluded from the program.

Residents must also remove all rims from the tires before arriving at either collection location.

Collected Tires Will Be Sent for Recycling

The collected tires will be directed for recycling, providing households with a responsible disposal option while helping reduce the risk of roadside dumping and other improper disposal practices.
